There have been a lot of ultra light golf shafts released since 2024. The Mitsubishi Vanquish Green is the recent release aimed at this market segment. I remember the Bassara UltraLight Mitsubishi models from 2014 – 2016. This series was discontinued and Diamana models became available in lighter weights. Currently the Diamana models are offered in 40 gram versions. The ultra light Grand Bassara which gets down to 29 and 39 grams is being discontinued. While I typically avoid working with ultra light shafts because of their high torque. I did have a customer that developed his swing around a Grand Bassara and hit it further than anything else I tested. The Vanquish Green is an aftermarket shaft with aftermarket pricing.

Fujikura Ventus TR Red Golf Shaft Review

A small sample of the 2026 Fujikura Ventus TR Red Velecore+ shafts were available to me. As you can see it is an unusual profile. As we have seen in the past from Fujikura, this shaft is new paint on an earlier design. There are subtle differences but essentially this is the 2025 Ventus Blue. I measured a small sample of the 2025 Ventus Blue but never published a review.

Mitsubishi Diamana WB Golf Shaft Review

The Diamana WB returns the white board profile closer the the first few generations than I saw is the last version, the Diamana W. I see a profile that is almost identical to the Tensei Pro White 1K.

The TrueTemper Project X Frost Denali is a no upcharge option in the 2026 TalylorMade Custom Driver / Fwy shaft options. the 2026 TaylorMade fitting system designates shafts to match a player’s rotation profile as follows:
HR – High Rotation Designed for players who release the club early, with the shaft lining up with the lead arm before or at impact. The shaft is a soft-tip profile to aid in closing the face.
MR – Mid Rotation Designed for players with a neutral release, with the shaft lining up with the lead arm just after impact. The shaft is a middle-of-the-road tip stiffness.
LR – Low Rotation Designed for player who hold the release, with the shaft lining up well after impact. The shaft tip is stiff to prevent the face from closing too quickly.

The Frost Denali series is calorized with this system, Red = HR, Blue = MR and Black = LR.
