Korean Hidden Technology AutoFlex Driver shafts came to the US market several years ago. I saw one in 2021. They cause a sensation with a $790 price point. They were very light weight and started a trend for light weight driver shafts. Ultimately the recreational US golfer was not ready for light weight shafts at that price point.
I met with Korean Hidden Technology at the PGA 2025 merchandise show and shot an interview in their booth. It is on the list of videos that need to be published. They followed up with a shipment of review samples of every SKU they make. This is the first of many reviews of the 100+ shafts that arrived. They have created heavier, stiffer shafts for the US market. And, in many models they offer matched driver, fairway and hybrid shafts.

Graphite Designs Anti-Gravity Driver Shaft Review

Graphite Designs Anti-Gravity Driver Shaft

There have been a number of ultra light driver shafts in 2024. I attribute this to the autoFlex original ultralight shaft. It is a uniquely light weight shaft that was popular in Asia. When released in the US it got the attention of many, including a few tour players. I have not found many US players that swing as slow or as smooth as a light weight soft shaft requires. That fact is echoed in the 2025 release of the a heavier stiffer model line from Korean Hidden Technology for the North American golfer. I will soon get to measure both the AutoFlex and AutoPower shafts.

The Graphite Design ultra light weight Anti-Gravity aG33-3 is a few grams lighter than the now discontinued Chichibu reviewed in 2018. The Anti-Gravity is made with the latest TORAYCA M40X carbon fiber. It is a few grams lighter and slightly firmer in the mid and butt section than the earlier Chichibu.

The GHneo 750 is the third iron shaft in the GHneo family of shafts, Joining the 950 and the 850 models. As with most iron shafts, weight is correlated with stiffness. The Nippon GHneo is no exception.

Mitsubishi Diamana BB Driver Shaft Review

I have been fitting with Mitsubishi Diamana Golf Shafts since I started my fitting business. The Blue Board Archetype is the most copied shaft profile in the business. The soft mid profile delivers forgiveness to the often erratic tempo of many recreational golfers. the last three generations of the Diamana have changed very little. The Diamana BB is a significant change.

This chart compares the torque of the last four generations of the Diamana Blue golf shafts. Mitsubishi tells us high modulus 46 ton fiber was used in the bias plies and 80 ton fiber is used in the butt section of the Diamana BB. It is evident that torque, as claimed, has been reduced. The torque of the BB is 0.4 degrees lower than earlier models.

Graphite Designs Tour AD GC Driver Shaft Review

I received Graphite Designs Tour AD GC shaft before the release. That gave me time to measure it and get player feedback before the scheduled release.

This is the sixth shaft from Graphite Design to use Torayca M40X in the butt section of the shaft. This is a high tensile strength and high modulus fiber prepreg. This means the shaft will exhibit more elasticity where the M40X material is applied. In comparing the models that have this material to those that don’t, I see reduced hoop deformation in the handle.
