Gears offers a research-grade motion capture system for coaches, fitters, golf companies and athletes. Gears measures the golfer and the club throughout the swing with a system of reflective stickers, video capture of the stickers and software to measure the stickers motion. The gears system is similar to what I have seen in university and golf industry research laboratories. Gears testing showed lower torque creates a draw bias while higher torque creates a fade bias. They see torque as one of the biggest factors in how golf shafts perform. Gears offers a line of shafts directly from their web site for personal testing. they recently sent me the full matrix of their shafts for review.
